2018 Chevrolet Corvette: release dates, prices, specs, and features
The 2018 Chevrolet Corvette continues the heralded tradition of the iconic American sports car. This year’s model goes relatively unchanged from the 2017 model year with some minor upgrades. The wheels are slightly larger with 19-inch wheels in the front and 20-inch wheels in the rear. There is a new an improved rear view camera as well as HD radio coming standard this year.
There are three different models available: Stingray, Grand Sport, and Z06. The Stingray is the classis Corvette people have come to know and love, with a hearty 6.2 Liter V-8 engine that generates 455 horsepower. The Grand Sport brings in a few styling upgrades that include heated seats, a front camera, HID Xeon lighting, beefier disc brakes, and more. The Z06 has a supercharged 6.2 Liter V8 that kicks out a mind-numbing 650 horsepower, a leather interior with leather steering wheel, microfiber trim, and premium leather seats that are an upgrade over the Grand Sport. It also comes with Chevy’s new Performance Data Recorder for the technical types who want to see exactly how their beast performs.
The 2018 Chevy Corvette is available in a special edition trim the automaker has named the Carbon 65 Edition, a homage to the 65th anniversary of the Corvette. The Carbon 65 features both interior and exterior carbon fiber upgrades, racing bucket seats, and Ceramic Matrix Grey paint job. There will be only 650 of these beast made and are only available with the Grand Sport 4LT and Z06 4LZ models.
