Some Information About Ford Vehicles

Sport Utility Vehicles, or SUVs, are very popular vehicles. They have an appeal of being big enough for a group of people to ride in while also, in many cases, being very elegant forms of transportation. Ford knows how popular SUVs are and they have invested in one of their truck plants to upgrade it to prepare for an increase in SUV production. It may sound easy, but that investment is in the range of $25 million.

That would bring the total cost of building that truck plant to $925 million. The plant produced the 2018 Ford Expedition and Lincoln Navigator, so this new investment suggests that Ford wants to go even further towards increasing SUV production. There may be good reason for Ford to think that way. In January, there was an increase in retail sales of the company’s Expedition and Navigator.

While the increase in sales for those vehicles was good news to Ford, a representative of the company has recently said that they could have sold even more SUVs in the month of January, but they did not have enough of the vehicles available to sell. The new vehicle manufacturing plants should help Ford supply car dealerships with more SUVs as they try to keep up with the demand for the vehicles.
